10 Years of Service

The Vintage Purples Alumni Club has been working tirelessly over the past decade to serve the University of Montevallo and the game of College Night.

Projects

Annual alumni dinner for the Purple Side (since 2005)
Provided coffee and snack breaks for the late night Palmer rehearsals
Vintage Voyage: a designated driving program for the purple side (since 2008)
Annual pop-up shop at Homecoming that has raised over $3,000 since 2015
Graduation cords provided to graduating seniors to encourage engagement with alumni club immediately after college (since 2022)
College Night Closet - a joint initiative with Old Gold Alumni Club to supply formal wear to Purples and Golds who don’t have resources for Saturday night attire (since 2023)
Collection of items for the UM Student Pantry at all of our events (since 2022)
Virtual Purple Love-In with facilitated speakers on “How to Human Through 2020”
$1,500 donation to the UM Emergency Student Relief Fund (2020)
$250 donation of Student Quarantine care packages for isolated students who quarantined in Ramsay for 14 days (2020)
$500 Donation to the Falcon Pantry (2021)
$500 Donation to the Falcon Pantry (2023)
Annual collection of food and toiletry items for the Falcon Pantry (since 2020)
College Night Endowment Fund - initial $10,000 donation for the Trumbauer Circle of Giving (2019 - 2022) and an additional $5,000 pledge in 2023 to be paid off by 2028. We currently only have $2,511 remaining on our total $15,000 commitment.
